On May 24 there will be a press conference "BRICS Academic Forum: Expansion of the association, outcomes and recommendations".
A roundtable discussion on the BRICS Academic Forum this year attended by new members, on its outcomes and recommendations.

The BRICS Academic Forum will be held in Moscow on May 22-24 under the motto "BRICS: New Figures on the World Chessboard." This is an annual conference of the BRICS Council of Expert Centers on the academic track, where the national coordinators attract leading experts from the world's majority countries. It is organized by the BRICS-Russia Expert Council. At the forum, the participants, whose number has increased to ten in the year of the Russian Chairmanship (from January 1, 2024), will discuss approaches to addressing topical issues and work out ways to develop cooperation in global governance, trade and economic cooperation, international, food and energy security, science and education, technology and innovation, and in improving financial systems.
Recommendations of the BRICS Academic Forum will be conveyed through Sherpas and Sous-Sherpas to the leaders of BRICS countries by the time of the summit in Kazan scheduled for October 22-24.
